Society has a standard of cruelty that naturally establishes itself when social norms are in place. The eyes of the majority pierce through the hearts of the oppressed, of those who dare break those social norms. They use their stares and their words to bring others down, to drive them apart. Only in love can the downtrodden find strength, to connect with each other despite what society says. As they walk hand in hand, they can somehow find the strength to hold on to one another, despite the looks that they get. Through the trials they face, only those who truly love each other shall remain.

For me, love has been a constant struggle against society and the premeditated standard that we're expected to follow. At least for me, when the look in her eyes pierces through my soul, those standards go right out the window; at least for me. I fell in love with the forbidden fruit of society, a love that was never meant to be. However, somehow someway, I was determined to make it work. The feeling of ecstasy I got from my love outweighed the feeling of shame that society put on our heads. Though my love was forced into secrecy, our hearts would rise into the clouds together. And as we ascended into the sky, we remained oblivious to the looks that we received by those, too caught up in hate in order to see what we had. Their eyes were blank, and filled with spite, the love we had blinded them with envy. Many of those people, those who loved many times in their life, did not find true everlasting love. Yet I, felt that love many times, through forbidden means.

This love I would feel many regularly, with many different maidens of true beauty. The first was a fairy, cloaked in the color green. Her hair was long and leafy, and her eyes shined like emeralds. She had green hair, green skin and wore a green dress. She had a way of moving closer and closer to me. She would get inside my head, and manipulate my mind. Like a whisper of smoke, she would fill the air with her sweet aroma. Her body smelled very earthy, and strong. Like a herbal Aroma. She made me feel euphoric. Nothing but laughter would come from me when we were together. My head would grow light when we held hands. She would spread her wings and we would fly. We would fly so high, that it would be a whole day before we came down. When she made love to me during the darkness of the night, she would light up like a firefly. My vision would alter, she'd have me seeing double. I'm not sure what she was doing with my brain, but whatever it was left me dizzy, and spaced me out. After we were finished and I would wake up in the morning she would still be there. Part of her had faded away, but the essence of her was still floating around in my head. Even when she finally subsided, and she disappeared like a cloud of smoke, I knew she was still there, running through my blood stream. I still sit around and reminisce on the fond memories of her; the way she looked, smelled, and made me feel. Her name was Mary Jane, the fair maiden, dressed in green.

She had a big impact on my life, but the same didn't follow for others. In this wicked world, her presence is banned. I have to make love to her in secret, and escape those who oppress us. If I were caught with her, I would be caged up like an animal. As a child I was taught to avoid her. They made up lies about her, making her the black sheep of the world. They said one kiss from her would rot the interior of my brain. They told me that making love to her would ruin my life. Her love was abstract; it encompassed a great deal of us. Her embrace stretched out upon the world, any man or woman that was willing to accept her love was welcome to do so. However those being punished were those who made the conscious choice to exercise their free will, and find peace with her. Is it because of love? In this wicked world, those that take what she has to offer are oppressed. I didn't care for them, my love for her grew in secret, and I abandoned the love of one vile harpy.
if you cant tell what the metaphor is then your dumb
